Book a free consultation

What this covers

Transactions categorised, every account reconciled, and a profit and loss statement and balance sheet delivered by a fixed date each month. No chasing, no guessing where the month landed, and nothing left for April.

  • Every bank, credit card, loan and merchant account reconciled to the statement
  • Income and expenses categorised to a chart of accounts built around how you operate
  • Monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash position
  • Fixed asset and depreciation schedules maintained through the year
  • A fixed close date each month so you know when the numbers land
  • Run in QuickBooks Online or Xero

How it works

  1. A free consultation. Twenty minutes on how the business runs, what software you are in, and what shape the records are in today.
  2. A written scope and a price. Based on your actual transaction volume and account count — not a tier.
  3. Access and setup. Read access to the accounts and software involved, and a chart of accounts that matches how you operate.
  4. A fixed rhythm. You know what lands, and when.

What a monthly close looks like here

The rhythm a monthly bookkeeping client can expect, week by week.

  1. Days 1–3 after month end

Bank, credit card and loan accounts reconciled against the real statements. Anything that does not match gets queried immediately rather than parked.

  2. Days 4–6

Transactions categorised, payroll entries posted, and any owner questions from the month resolved while the context is still fresh.

  3. Day 7 — the close

P&L, balance sheet and a cash position summary delivered, with a short written note on what moved and why. Not a PDF dump — the two or three things that actually changed.

  4. Once a month

A conversation about what the numbers mean and what decision is in front of you. That is included, not billed separately.

Common questions about monthly bookkeeping

How long until my books are current?

If the books are in reasonable shape, the first close lands inside two weeks. If there is a backlog, that is a catch-up project first.

Do I have to switch software?

No. Mo is an Intuit Advanced ProAdvisor and works in both QuickBooks Online and Xero, so whichever you are already in is the one we use.
