Working with Sliger Bookkeeping

Do I have to be near you to work with you?

No. Sliger Bookkeeping works with clients in any state. Most services are delivered through secure cloud accounting, document sharing and scheduled conversations. Local meetings near Cabot and Little Rock are available by arrangement.

Can you handle payroll or sales tax in my state?

It depends on the states, platforms and complexity involved. An employee or a filing obligation in another state may require registration and setup review before payroll or sales-tax filings begin. Mo coordinates the payroll information, supported filings and bookkeeping records, and involves the appropriate specialist when a formal determination is needed.

Are you a CPA firm?

No, and that distinction matters. Sliger Bookkeeping is not a CPA firm and does not provide audits, reviews or certified financial statements. We provide bookkeeping, payroll and financial-operations support and coordinate tax preparation through trusted tax specialists. When CPA, enrolled-agent, attorney or other licensed professional services are required, Mo helps identify and coordinate the appropriate professional.

How much does bookkeeping cost?

It depends on transaction volume, how many accounts are involved and what shape the books are in when we start. When enough information is available, Mo can provide the scope and price after the consultation. If the records require review first, you will know what information is needed and when to expect the proposal.

My books are a mess. Is that a problem?

It is the most common way clients arrive, and it is the work Mo is reviewed for. Catch-up and clean-up is handled as its own project, and once you are current you move onto the monthly schedule.

Do you do taxes?

Tax preparation is coordinated through trusted tax specialists, with your bookkeeping records organized for an efficient handoff. Mo helps assemble the records, identify what is missing and connect you with a qualified tax professional who prepares and files the return. The tax specialist confirms the forms, jurisdictions, price and timeline for each engagement.

QuickBooks or Xero?

Either. Mo works in both QuickBooks Online and Xero. Each platform has strengths, and the recommendation is based on your workflow, reporting needs and budget — not simply on the software your bookkeeper knows best.

Can you run my payroll?

Yes, subject to a payroll review. Pricing and setup depend on employee count, pay frequency, states involved and the payroll platform. Full-service platforms generally calculate, withdraw and file payroll taxes, while Sliger Bookkeeping coordinates processing, monitors the records and keeps the entries posted in your books.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. Mo does not believe in locking clients into an arrangement that no longer fits. Every engagement includes a scheduled review point — typically at three, six or twelve months, depending on the service — so the scope, price and relationship can be confirmed. You will understand the work and cost before anything begins.

Will I work directly with Mo?

Yes. The person you speak to during the consultation remains involved and accountable throughout the relationship. When specialized support is needed, Mo coordinates the right professional instead of leaving you to find one alone.

How quickly will I hear back?

Mo answers his own phone and replies to his own email — there is no queue and no account manager in between. If he cannot answer immediately, he aims to respond the same business day.

What happens on the free consultation?

A conversation about how your business runs, what shape the books are in and what you actually need. The consultation is conversational, with no pressure and no obligation to proceed. When enough information is available, you leave with the scope and price; if records need review first, you will know exactly what is needed and when to expect the proposal.

Still deciding?

The free consultation exists precisely for the questions that are specific to your business. It is conversational, with no pressure and no obligation to proceed.
