Tax Preparation & Filing
Business and personal returns prepared and filed by the same person who keeps the books they come from.
Book a free consultationWhat this covers
Most tax problems are bookkeeping problems that waited until April. When the same practice keeps your books all year and prepares the return at the end of it, there is no handover, no month of questions, and no reconstruction billed twice. Returns are prepared remotely for clients in any state.
- Business returns — Schedule C, partnership (1065), S-corporation (1120-S) and corporation (1120)
- Individual returns (1040), including owners taking K-1s from their own entity
- State returns, including multi-state filings for remote teams and multi-state operations
- Prior-year and back returns for clients who have fallen behind
- Amended returns where an earlier filing needs correcting
- Extensions filed on time, with a realistic plan to actually finish
- Quarterly estimated tax calculations so April is not a surprise
- Year-round tax planning — entity structure, owner compensation, timing of purchases
- Books and return prepared together, so nothing gets reconciled twice
How it works
- A free consultation. Twenty minutes on how the business runs, what software you are in, and what shape the records are in today.
- A written scope and a price. Based on your actual transaction volume and account count — not a tier.
- Access and setup. Read access to the accounts and software involved, and a chart of accounts that matches how you operate.
- A fixed rhythm. You know what lands, and when.
Common questions about tax preparation & filing
Do I have to use you for bookkeeping to have my return prepared?
No. Plenty of returns come from books kept elsewhere. It is simply cheaper and faster when both sit in one place, because there is no month of back-and-forth reconstructing what the ledger meant.
Can you file for a business in a state you are not in?
Yes. Federal and state returns are prepared and filed remotely, and multi-state filings are routine for businesses with remote employees or sales in several states.
I am several years behind on filing. Can you help?
Yes, and it is more common than people think. Back returns get prepared oldest first, which usually means rebuilding the bookkeeping for those years before the return can be filed at all.
Can you represent me if the IRS audits me?
No. Representation before the IRS requires a CPA, an enrolled agent or an attorney. If you are facing an examination, appeal or collection action, that is who you need — and we will hand over clean, organised records to make that engagement faster and cheaper.
Do you handle sales tax as well as income tax?
Yes, though they are separate engagements. Multi-state sales tax preparation and filing has its own page.
